Telia Latvija offers wireless network solutions, which are implemented using the centralised administration of access points. The capacities of available access point models also allow the opportunity to implement complicated wireless network projects indoors, as well as outdoors.

TELIA WIFI SOLUTION

The use of the customer’s wireless network device controller on the Telia cloud computing platform enables the customer to ensure the following:

centralised control of wireless networks;
collection of statistical data;
detailed information on available radio resources;
access point load balance;
information on the users of wireless networks and all active devices.

The captive portal enables guests to access the wireless network through a single authentication website.

OPPORTUNITIES

The use of centralised management ensures the maximum simplification of the wireless network installation process and all configuration changes (title of the network, authentication, encryption, VLAN ID, etc.) occur simultaneously at all involved access points.

The power supply to the access points is ensured, depending on the model, by means of IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at PoE standards or 24 V passive PoE, which, during installation, enables a solution that does not require the use of a separate power cable.

The performance capacity of access points enables the use of a wireless network to ensure various internal services of the customer, for instance, wireless surveillance cameras.

The solution provides 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac wireless network standards by using 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, as well as supports WEP, WPA‑PSK, WPA‑Enterprise (WPA/WPA2, TKIP/AES) security algorithms.
