Layer 3 VPN

Telia L3 MPLS VPN service provides isolated network infrastructure, routed by Telia Latvia. From basic solution (no routing equipment in customer’s side) to more complicated- with static or dynamic routing, most appropriate solution can be designed.

Telia Latvia have interconnects with most of biggest ISP in Latvia, allowing to extend reachability to almost every point in Latvia, as well as merge two or more separate L3 infrastructures, each maintained by different SIP.

Interconnects with international operators such as Telia Carrier and TEO allows to extend isolated L3 infrastructures beyond borders, covering not only Baltic states, but also whole Europe and other continents.

Telia Unmanaged IP VPN product is targeted for customers that need L3 MPLS VPN (IP VPN) connectivity within Telia’s footprint with their own IP level network design combined with customer-managed CPE router/switch. This product can be used as an IP underlay component for different services (e.g. SD-WAN, wireless LAN networks, base-stations).

Telia Unmanaged IP VPN product utilizes Telia DataNet network design and platform: e.g. cross-border NNI interconnections, DataNet Service Edge Routers and the set of supported CPE devices. The main difference is that Telia Unmanaged IP VPN enables customer-managed CPE in combination with IP VPN with related customer control to IP design.

In the standard Telia Unmanaged IP VPN ‘Wires only’ service, the customer owns the CPE router and is responsible for the configuration and monitoring of the CPE router. Telia provides optional on-site installation service for customer CPE router.

Telia DataNet service is aimed for small and large corporations and enterprises dependent on national and/or international cross border networking for their business. The service is a flexible IP communication solution for the business customer. It combines Customer’s local area networks in different locations into one single managed network entity, a VPN.

The service provides not only an Intranet service spanning overall customer sites it also provides connectivity Telia network based IP-services to all customers connected to the VPN service.

Each service access point to the VPN can individually be realized with the most suitable transport technique, depending on communication and service level needs and geographical coverage.
