By supporting socially responsible action for the benefit of the entire country, Telia Latvija, together with other leading companies of Latvia that represent various industries, such as Swedbank, Luminor, AirBaltic, Bite, BTA, has become a supporter of the mobile app “Apturi Covid” initiative.

Representatives of the Latvian ICT industry and science have voluntarily developed the contact recording application “Apturi Covid” for the Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (CDPC) free of charge, in order to help the population limit the further spread of the virus in Latvia in a safe and convenient way.

How does the application work?

	When leaving home the user activates the Bluetooth function on his/her phone.
	If the user has been in contact with someone infected with Covid-19, the user will be automatically notified about it.
	Fellow citizens are protected and the spread of the virus is stopped.

The data in the application is encrypted and private, the contact is recorded on the user’s phone only.
